The BBN held their breath Saturday night. There was a point with just a few minutes left in the game where I don’t think I exhaled for 60 seconds. It was the best of times and could have easily been the worst of times.
There is something special about this team. Anyone that watched the Bahama games realized the ingredients were there for a special season.
The players have been dissected by the media. They have lost a teammate to a season ending injury. They have never faltered or have they caved into the hype. They have sacrificed, fought against the odds and have remained perfect.
The smiles, the Willie posterizing and Booker reloading are just a few of the moments etched forever in the hearts and minds of the BBN.
It has been a season that will be talked about in basketball history forever. A season the we will proudly tell our grandchildren we witnessed.
When the BBN wakes up on April 7th the season will have ended. The drought of the summer months will be upon us. We will begin the speculation of who is returning and who is signing. We will search blogs and sporting news for any story that might have mention of our “CATS.”
Enjoy the upcoming week. Proudly wear your blue and white. It has been one heck of a ride.
