The Kentucky Wildcats just did what many at the beginning of the season thought would be impossible. Starting the season the way Kentucky did, some fans said they may only win one or two games. Kentucky has proven many people wrong… over and over again. The Wildcats went into Missouri and not only won, but they dominated (35-21). The end score doesn’t portray the way the game actually was. Missouri’s last two touchdowns appeared to come from Kentucky’s defense just playing lackadaisical. Even though Missouri looked bad… Kentucky looked really good.
Benny Snell passed Randall Cobb for most touchdowns by a freshman (eight touchdowns). Boom Williams also had two TDs with over 100+ rushing yards. Both Benny and Stanely had over 180 rushing yards EACH. The most telling stat lines of the day though (in my opinion) was the fact that Kentucky only had two penalties and over 580 total yards. They’re still learning and growing as a team, but this team has come a LONG way! Eddie Gran in my opinion called a great game. Kentucky’s O-Line got the biggest shoutout especially when Cole Cubelic claims UK may be ranked the 4th O-Line in the SEC (being one of the most underrated units in the SEC).
The Senior, Jon Toth, played his heart out. After several plays, Jon would get up limping, but refused to take a seat, because you could tell he wanted this win. He has been apart of the past seasons where Kentucky has been completely embarrassed on the road in the SEC. I think he wanted this win more than any of us will ever know. Show the Wildcats some love on social media y’all and enjoy this win.
