There is a Twitter handle called Gavin Reactions (@GAVINREACT). The basis is a toddler and his many moods and facial expressions relating to our everyday life. I find myself chuckling daily because I can connect something in my life to one of the tweets. I think someone should make a Twitter handle covering BBN Reactions using Coach Cal’s facial expressions.

For the month of January, BBN Reactions were off the chain. Big Blue Nation was all over the place. Some calling for the firing of Coach Cal (insert picture of Coach Cal rolling his eyes). Some calling out individual player’s ineptitude (insert picture of Coach Cal with a face palm). I even saw where one member of BBN indicated that this team was headed for the NIT (insert video of Coach Cal saying WHAT?). Can you imagine what BBN would have been like if we had use of Social Networking and Social Media throughout the history of Kentucky Basketball? It’s terrifying to think about.

There have been some really low moments in the history of our program and Big Blue Nation is reacting to the month of January like it was doomsday. I don’t have to remind the truly diehard fans of those low points because we lived them and want to forget them. BUT for those that are reacting like it is the Ballocalypse, maybe you should ‘Google’ UK Men’s Basketball History, review it, breathe, and stop overREACTING.
