Football is back. Can you believe it? It’s hard to believe that the Spring Game is this Friday. It’ll be a good Friday this Friday for many reasons.

1) This football team I believe can go 8-4 (maybe even better), and I say that with confidence. I don’t think I’ve had that much confidence in a Kentucky football team since I’ve been covering them. Just a friendly reminder… we beat Louisville last season… at Louisville… with their Heisman quarterback.

2) It’ll be great to be back in Commonwealth Stadium under-the-lights. It’s a special feeling, and the atmosphere is always electric when the Big Blue Nation is out supporting the football program. Try to make it out if you can.

3) The Blue / White game will be the only main event I’ll be covering until the football season begins, so I’m going to make it last with plenty of pictures, hopefully destroying a bunch of media food, and getting a good idea of the chemistry this football team has.

4) Benny Snell.

5) Though it’s unlikely we’ll see Drew Barker out there, it’s nice to know that he’s anticipating competing for the QB spot with Stephen Johnson. However, I think Stephen Johnson is our guy as we cannot forget what Vince Marrow said at the end of last season:

6) Dorian Baker is going to be such a play-maker… he’s going to be so fun to watch. As he enters his senior season (overcoming so many obstacles), I believe we’ll see him shine.

7) Honestly, I could go on and on about how this Friday is going to be a good Friday, but the most important reason is this…

While watching the Blue / White game will be fun and exciting, this Friday is Good Friday. I’ll also be celebrating the death of our Savior, Jesus, this Friday. Without Good Friday… there’s no Easter Sunday. Now if you’re still with me… I cannot even begin to describe how much my faith has gotten me to where I am today. With that being said, whether you hide Easter eggs, eat some food, spend time with family… whatever it is… heck, watch a Spring football game… let us not forget… what this Easter Season is all about. He is risen! I love you guys.

Great video to watch on Friday:

GO CATS!!!
