Kentucky NBA Summer League Through July 9th

By Michele Brown
The Vegas League has not been especially kind to our former Cats.  First, it was De’Aaron Fox who suffered a sore Achilles and played only 1 game before ending his involvement.  Next, it was Malik Monk who suffered an injury that allowed him 1 game only.  And Monday night, it was Isaiah Briscoe who got dinged up:

Meanwhile, Dakari Johnson has had 3 solid performances and displayed extra toughness tonight as he had 3 strong blocks to go along with 10 points.

Once again, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was turning heads and making jaws drop with his outstanding play.  While this doesn’t surprise the BBN, it seems to have caught other NBA fans off guard.  Sure, it’s just Summer League, but SGA is showing signs that he will make a HUGE splash when the NBA season begins for real this fall.
