Kentucky Players’ Summer League Stats – Through July 2

Day 2 of Summer League had the same teams in action as day 1. While Herro and Gabriel both had excellent games on Monday, Keldon Johnson’s debut was less than noteworthy. Perhaps it was first game jitters or just needing to adjust to the speed of the NBA game. Whatever the case, he more than made up for his slow start by having a bit of a breakout game Tuesday.

In 10 minutes of play in the 1st half, Johnson scored 12 points and pulled down 4 rebounds. For the game, he ended with 29 points (3-4 from 3-point range and a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line) and 7 rebounds along with 3 steals and a block.

While the Heat and the Kings were in action, neither Herro nor Gabriel saw any action.

The Salt Lake City and California Leagues will conclude play tomorrow. After a break on July 4th, the main event will begin in Las Vegas on Friday.

Games of interest tomorrow:

Warriors vs. Heat 3pm NBATV

Lakers vs. Kings 5pm NBATV

Spurs vs. Jazz 9 pm NBATV

Heat vs. Kings 11 pm NBATV
