For the second time this week, Kentucky football has received a commitment in the 2021 class.

2021 three-star linebacker Martez Thrower committed to Kentucky this afternoon. The Georgia native choose the Cats over Michigan State, Tennessee, and Nebraska, among others.

Here is his tweet announcing his commitment to UK, featuring the “Power K” hat:

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound outside linebacker out of Rochelle, GA is the 13th player to join Kentucky’s 2021 recruiting class, and the second linebacker of the group so far (Joko Willis). He is listed as a consensus top-45 outside linebacker in the nation by recruiting services, and the No. 699 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

With an evolving legacy of successful outside linebackers coming through Kentucky in the Mark Stoops era, Thrower could be next in line of that becoming tradition. Also considering he is from Wilcox County High School (sharing my last name), I am already a fan of him.
