The NBA began the restart of the 2019-2020 season with two games that were thrillers from beginning to end last night. The second of the high-profiled games featured the top two teams in the Western Conference — LA Lakers and LA Clippers, and the boys in the purple and gold held on to win 103-101.
Lakers foward and former ‘Cat Anthony Davis was sensational in the team’s first game back, scoring a game-high 34 points on 8/19 shooting from the field and making 16 of 17 free throws. With 34 points, that gives AD his 20th 30-point game of the season and second against the Clippers.
Here is one of the made field goals for the Lakers forward in which he nearly tore off the rim on a putback jam:

Davis also finished with eight rebounds and four assists for the night. His teammate LeBron James finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. The Clippers highest scorer was Paul George with 30 points himself on 11 of 17 shooting from the field, and Kawhi Leonard finished the game with 28 points on 7 of 16 shooting from the floor.
That was a fun night of basketball, and it continues Friday with games spread throughout the afternoon and evening. AD and the Lakers next go up against the defending champions Toronto Raptors on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
