Summer League in Las Vegas continued on Sunday with another full slate of games. As has been the case this year, a number of former Wildcats were in action. Here’s what we saw today:
ATL vs NOLA
James Young was in action again with the New Orleans Pelicans. Though Young only played 9 minutes, he made good use of his time, scoring 9 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and added an assist for good measure. In the end, the Hawks edged the Pels 84-82.
MIL vs BRK
The Bucks knocked off the Nets 88-83, but Archie Goodwin still had an opportunity to show what a fantastic athlete he is. While only getting 10 minutes of play, Goodwin managed 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Not flashy numbers by any means, but he certainly should get some attention for his quickness and athleticism.

UT vs LAC
The Clippers defeated the Jazz, 86-67, but Kyle Wiltjer still didn’t have much of a contribution. In his 13 minutes of play, he managed only 1 field goal, his only points of the game. He did add 5 rebounds and 1 assist, but has not yet shown an ability to score.
MEM vs SAC
Another great outing by both Skal Labissiere and De’Aaron Fox on Sunday, but the Kings fell to the Grizzlies 81-75. To the disappointment of the BBN, Dominique Hawkins has still not been given the opportunity to play. Hopefully, this will change Monday night. Skal flirted with a double-double (13 points, 8 rebounds) and continued his steady play. Fox had a little bit of a slow start but ended the night with 17 points, 5 boards, 4 assists and 3 steals. He also had 5 turnovers, but he also left a lot of defenders in his dust as he showed his amazing speed numerous times throughout the game.

PHI vs SA
The last game of the evening featured the Philadelphia 76ers and the San Antonio Spurs. While it appeared the Spurs would run away with the game, the Sixers closed late before ultimately falling 101-95.
All 3 former Cats on the Sixers roster had nice outings. Briscoe tallied 5 points, 3 assists and 1 steal in only 10 minutes of play. Poythress continued his consistent play, adding 10 points and 6 boards. Alex also issued a statement to any player who tries to elbow him…don’t do it!
The best game of the Wildcat trio went to Aaron Harrison. With 14 points and 3 rebounds, Aaron definitely made the most of his 17 minutes on the court. Both Harrison and Poy are making very strong cases to be on NBA rosters this upcoming season.
Monday Fun Day
Plenty of games await fans on Monday, with perhaps the most-anticipated one being the Lakers and Kings at 10:30. Another Fox-Ball matchup is what the fans want to see. Will Fox dominate again? Only time will tell. Here are the games that include former Cats on the rosters:
