LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following one of the best seasons in program history, it’s time for fans to help the Cats once again by purchasing season tickets for the 2019 season.
UK will host three SEC opponents in Memorial Coliseum, including defending Southeastern Conference Champion LSU, SEC Runner-Up Alabama and Auburn. A matchup with Central Michigan will close out the home slate. The Wildcats will kickoff the season with Excite Night in Rupp Arena for the second-straight season on Jan. 18. UK will face SEC foe Arkansas inside the storied venue in its third match of the season.
Kentucky welcomes back a majority of the team, including All-American Mollie Korth and Sidney Dukes. Dukes took home a share of last season’s SEC floor championship. Head coach Tim Garrison and assistant coaches Chuck Dickerson and Rachel Garrison were named the 2018 National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) National Coach and Assistant Coaches of the Year after guiding the team to its first NCAA Championships appearance in program history, a two seed at the NCAA Minneapolis Regional and a tie for its best finish at the SEC Championships. The Wildcats also tied their second-highest score in program history in a win against Missouri last season and set an opening-meet record in their Excite Night victory.
