Kentucky will be playing for the SEC East Title on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Kroger Field against the Georgia Bulldogs. Again, Kentucky will be playing for the SEC East Title on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Kroger Field against the Georgia Bulldogs. These are words I never thought I would type in my lifetime!
Kentucky fans will always remember where they were when Conrad caught the pass from Wilson for the win at Missouri. I was in my car waiting on my order from Applebees. I did not care that I had been waiting 10 minutes. All I had was Tom Leach and that was all I needed. I screamed and blew the horn. Then of course I checked Twitter to hear the call again.
From this day until November 9th Kentucky fans will be living a dream. I am positive not much work will be accomplished this week as the BBN will tune in to listen to all the sports radio shows. It is November and we are still savoring all the mentions of Kentucky football.
Friday night the basketball team will play their second exhibition game at Rupp against Indiana University at Pennsylvania at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network. This game should not present much of a challenge to the second ranked CATS. One thing is for sure, the buzz around Rupp will be the football team. “Have you got tickets for tomorrow? What is the weather forecast? What is Vegas saying? What time is your tailgate setting up,? will be the most asked questions.
Saturday afternoon on CBS at 3:30 the CATS will kickoff against the Bulldogs to claim the title SEC East Champion. Kroger Field will be a sell out and the BBN will bring it. The atmosphere will be electric. Fans will gather to see history being made.
Tuesday afternoon the BBN caravan will travel to Indianapolis to watch the basketball CATS take on the Duke Blue Devils. Blue will take over Indy as is evident that there are currently no hotel rooms available. Tickets will be high priced, Tin Roof will be packed and at 9:30 p.m. the quest for Title Number 9 will begin.
Friday, November 9th the CATS play their home opener at Rupp against Southern Illinois University. I don’t have a crystal ball to predict what the conversation at the ice cream line will be but I am sure Kentucky Football will once again be in the mix.
Saturday, November 10th the football CATS will head to Neyland stadium to take on that ugly orange and for the first time that I can remember will probably be favored.
Hide your couches and don’t park your car on State Street.
