Week 2 of Summer League began with the possibility of 5 former Cats getting to play. As it turned out, only 4 Cats were on the court. Keldon Johnson did not dress for tonight’s game (resting). But Tuesday could be a banner day for the BBN with as many as 9 Cats potentially seeing game action.
Hamidou Diallo continued to be steady, playing 26 minutes and scoring 14 points to go with 4 rebounds. He had 3 steals but that was tempered by 3 turnovers. His biggest issue continues to be struggles at the free throw line where he is shooting an anemic 40% for the summer.
Wenyen Gabriel’s stats are very similar to Diallo’s, though he is slightly more successful shooting free throws (48.15%). For the night, Wenyen played 27 minutes and scored 8 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Again, steady play, but free throw shooting is definitely an area that needs significant improvement.
Aaron Harrison got some more time in for the Bulls Monday night. Playing at the 3, Aaron got 14 minutes and scored 6 points and gathered 3 rebounds. Two assists rounded out his night.
Finally, Mychal Mulder was in action once again, receiving 21 minutes of playing time. He had 6 oints, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. While not eye-catching numbers, his play has been steady and consistent which will hopefully bode well for him this upcoming season.
