Kentucky jumped all over Tennessee Saturday night and had them in a 13-0 hole before the Vols knew what had hit them. Then they promptly jumped off of them and let all of the early damage they inflicted go to waste.

Kentucky dominated the time of possession and number of plays ran en route to building their early lead. They even scored on their opening drive.
Tennessee had 83 tackles, Kentucky had 29.
A mind boggling difference

As quickly as Kentucky built their lead in the fourth quarter, Tennessee tore it down in the third quarter with two quick touchdowns of their own to take a 17-13 lead. The blocked extra point forced Kentucky to play for a touchdown late that they just never were able to get. The Cats rushed for 302 yards but needed 304 to come away with a win. Now they must bounce back, regroup and get ready for a road game at Vanderbilt. It’s another winnable game, but it’s all about how they handle things going forward.
