The Australia-Kentucky football pipeline continues to work in recruiting as Aussie punter Wilson Berry committed to the Cats last night.
Berry, a native of Melbourne, Australia, announced his commitment to the class of 2021 for UK on social media:
Excited to announce I have committed to the University of Kentucky @UKFootball starting 2021. @ProkickAus @JohnnyPKA @Coach_Matsakis @Max__Duffy @JBerry_4 #BBN #WhyNotNow pic.twitter.com/QD8SrbOCg8

Wilson Berry acknowledged in his commitment post that Jordan Berry, his brother and current Pittsburgh Steelers’ punter, helped him out with his decision, as well as current UK punter and Australia native Max Duffy. Here was Max Duffy’s reaction to Berry’s announcement on Twitter:

Kentucky has had great success lately going to Australia to find skilled punters, and Berry is next Aussie in that line of success. Max Duffy, who is a 2020-21 Walter Payton Preseason First-Team All-American, is going into his last season, so Berry will have a chance to start from the beginning of his eligibility.
