Incoming freshmen forwards BJ Boston and Terrence Clarke are coming in as highly touted recruits next season. The duo is even drawing comparisons of the De’Aaron Fox-Malik Monk duo from 2017 as they each are coming to UK with such star potential. Due to Covid-19, both future Cats have been limited in their ability to workout, but that has not seemed to stop their drive to get better.
BJ Boston, who was just named USA Today’s High School Athlete of the Year in California, posted a video on Twitter of him getting up shots with former UK guard Tyrese Maxey earlier this week:
In that same gym earlier this week, NBA players LeBron James and Ben Simmons were also playing some hoops as they get ready to finish the NBA season soon. Tyrese Maxey responded to the video that Boston tweeted out with an uplifting message to UK fans:

Also in a different video that Boston tweeted out that same day, the future Cat was working on his leg strength as he ran up an intimidatingly steep hill of sand near the ocean:
Pretty good scenery to get a workout in.
Terrence Clarke, the other half of the presumed-to-be dynamic duo, has also been training with Tyrese Maxey. The athletic forward has been working on explosiveness, as seen here in a video of him showing off his 60-inch vertical:
That is pretty high, right? Clarke’s explosiveness is also something the UK coaching staff will be excited about this coming season.
The work ethic Boston and Clarke have shown lately through social media posts has been a trend in the talented athletes coming though UK under Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari. Since the Calpari Era began, Kentucky has had many players who every day seemingly are working out in the gym whether UK Head Coach John Calipari ordered them to or not, and these two incoming freshmen look as if they might join that legacy.
