Kentucky’s highest rated basketball recruit in the 2020 class, BJ Boston, continues to capture high praise as he gets ready to make the transition from high school to college. This afternoon, Boston was named a 2020 All-American by SLAM Magazine.

Boston, who is the No. 4 recruit in both the Rivals and 247 Sports rankings, happens to be the highest rated recruit Kentucky has picked up since Skal Labissiere in the 2015 class. The 6’7″ forward was recently named USA Today’s California Basketball Player of the Year for his performance during his senior season at Sierra Canyon High School.

Here is the tweet from SLAM Magazine announcing Boston as a SLAM All-American:

The one-and-done era has taught many of us college basketball spectators not to put too much stock in freshmen performing great from start to finish, but Boston has the talent and skill to be Kentucky’s best player in the 2020-21 season.
