Relieving news came out of Lexington Sunday night, as each of the 161 players and staff on the UK football team have gotten their Covid-19 test results back and reportedly were all negative for the virus.
While UK is yet to officially announce the test results, Kentucky kicker Chance Poore’s father announced the news Sunday night via Twitter:
Just heard and happy to report. After testing 161 athletes – staff – associated with FOOTBALL- there is no one tested positive for the Covid-19. Go Cats!!! https://t.co/RjitxWoqZx

Assuming Poore is correct, that would be exciting news considering the current pace of the outbreak in the Bluegrass State and across the country.
The Cats were initially only testing for the antibodies to Covid-19, in which six players were diagnosed with at the time they arrived back on campus. Then just recently Kentucky Sports Radio reported the team changed its policy and would start testing the players to see if they also currently have the virus.
