Former UK guard Eric Bledsoe is yet to join the Milwaukee Bucks in the Orlando NBA bubble due to testing positive for Covid-19, according to Yahoo Sports.
The NBA required that players be tested for the Coronavirus upon entering Disney World in Orlando, the host for the NBA restart. Bledsoe reportedly tested positive, thus staying in quarantine until medically cleared to enter the bubble.
According to the report by Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Bledsoe is not feeling any symptoms and ready to join the team soon once cleared.
Bledsoe’s presence would be missed more defensively than offensively for the Bucks arguably, as the reigning member of the NBA’s All-Defensive Team is the team’s main perimeter defender. With that said, the veteran guard has been a contributor all around the floor for the Bucks when healthy, as he averaged 15.4 points per game along with 5.4 assists and 4.9 rebounds before the season was stopped due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Milwaukee holds firm at first place in the Eastern Conference as of now so Bledsoe may not be needed immediately, but by playoff time his defensive experience would sure come in handy for the Bucks.
