UK volleyball players arrived back on campus in Lexington almost two months ago along with other fall university sports. The team has been going through voluntary workouts and following Covid-19 test protocols as they prepare for competitions ahead which are allowed to begin in the SEC on Aug. 31 as of now.
Two members that will be crucial to the success of the volleyball squad are junior outside hitter Alli Stumler and senior setter Madison Lilley.
Stumler comes into her third year at UK having won the award for SEC Freshman of the Year two seasons ago along with being named AVCA National Player of the Week after having seven straight games with 10+ kills last season. The setter that often gets the ball up to her for a kill is Madison Lilley, who was an AVCA Second-Team All-American last season.
