NBA superstar Anthony Davis struggled on Saturday against Toronto, scoring only 14 points on 2/7 shooting from the floor as the Lakers lost to the defending champs 107-92.
In the next regular season game on Monday night against Utah, however, it was a different story. Davis rattled in 42 points, shooting 13/28 from the field and 12/15 from the line as the Lakers defeated Utah 116-108. He scored 24 points by halftime, marking the 20th time the all-star has totaled at least 20 points in a half.
“Coach (Vogel) just told me to be more aggressive,” Davis told reporters after the game. “He felt, and I felt like too, that I just kind of played into Toronto’s defense, accepted the double team. I was making the right plays, but I still have to be aggressive at the same time.”
AD also finished the win with 12 rebounds and four assists.
