Kentucky junior linebacker Jamin Davis has been rising up the NFL Draft boards in recent weeks, with some insiders even signaling him as a possible late first round pick.
Fast forward to today, when Davis’s skills were put in the spotlight, and the team’s leading tackler for last season absolutely shined. He started by showing off a 42-inch vertical — extreme hops for a linebacker:
Davis also ran a 4.41 40-yard dash and an 11-foot broad jump, numbers that will only catapult his rising draft stock. Of course, a stopwatch is used to time the 40-yard dash for pro days as opposed to a laser at the NFL Combine, which could a more accurate running time. Regardless, the linebacker is showing out for the Wildcats, and will likely be featured in an NFL defensive front-7 soon.
