UK guard Terrence Clarke has died from a car accident in Los Angeles, according to reports first confirmed by WKYT.
According to the local station, Clarke passed away in a crash after a workout with fellow Wildcat BJ Boston Jr. The report also states that LAPD confirmed he was traveling at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light and crashed into a car while turning left.
Clarke and Boston had both recently signed with the same agent, Klutch Sports. The two freshmen were the first from this past season’s team to put their name into the NBA Draft and announced they would be foregoing their eligibility.
The former five-star recruit averaged 10 points per game before injuring his foot which kept him out of 17 matchups until the last battle against Mississippi State. He scored a career-high 22 points against Georgia Tech, and proved to be a confident wing on the court.
Keep his family in your prayers.
